Pensacola Opera Summer Opera Camps, Camp II, Cinderella, Ages 6-10 (Registration deadline June 28th)

Pensacola Opera will hold three weeks of summer Opera Camps giving children and teens ages 6-16 the opportunity to explore the art form of opera. Camp activities and performances will be based on the Opera's 2014 mainstage season featuring Rossini's Cinderella and Verdi's Carmen. Opera camp students will receive hand-on training from teachers and professional opera singers. Each camp focuses on the aspects of opera production; vocal and characterization techniques and prop, set and makeup design. At the end of each camp, students will showcase their talents a final opera performance for their family and friends. Opera Camp II: Cinderella, July 8 – July 12, 2013 | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Ages 6-10 Registration deadline Friday, June 28, 2013 ''Opera camp is a wonderful opportunity for our youth to be exposed to the intense music and drama of opera in a fun setting with their peers,'' said Opera Education Director, Amanda Cook.
