Pensacola Opera Announces 30th Season Chorus Auditions

Pensacola Opera will hold Opera Chorus auditions for its 30th Anniversary mainstage productions on Tuesday, August 28, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Pensacola Opera Center located at 75 S. Tarragona St. in downtown Pensacola. Interested singers should contact the Pensacola Opera Center by calling (850) 433-6737 to schedule an audition time. Singers should prepare an aria, verse of a hymn, an extended opera choral selection and should bring prepared sheet music. Prior choral experience and the ability to read music are preferred. The Opera Chorus is comprised of a vibrant group of community volunteers ages 18 and up who perform in the Opera's mainstage productions. Under the direction of Artistic Director Kyle Marrero, the Opera Chorus will have the opportunity to perform in three productions this season: Sondheim's Sweeney Todd in October, Rossini's The Barber of Seville in January and Puccini's Tosca in March.
