Kayak for a Cure Pensacola

On Saturday, June 9 at 8:00 AM Kayak for a Cure Pensacola will host its first annual paddle event at Shoreline Park South in Gulf Breeze. Kayak for a Cure is a national, non-profit, 100% volunteer based organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds in support of cancer research and prevention. No Kayaking experience is necessary and professional guides will provide instruction along the route. Kayaks and safety gear will be provided for participants in need. Paddleboards and canoes are also welcome to participate. All paddlers will launch at Shoreline Park after breakfast is served and participants will paddle east approximately 2.8 miles to the Gulf Islands National Seashore returning to Shoreline Park South for lunch, rewards, and prize drawings. Kayak for a Cure Pensacola will be hosting a sign-up event on June 2, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Intracoastal Outfitters located on 701 E. Gregory Street located across from McGuires Irish Pub in Pensacola. Registration fee is $30 per person and all proceeds will directly support our local American Cancer Society.
