HBA presents Termite Workshop

Description

Representative Doug Broxson is sponsoring a meeting in conjunction with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to discuss problems associated with Formosan termites in the Gulf Breeze and Navarre, Florida areas.  This meeting will provide a forum for discussion on the problems homewoners have related to Formosan termite infestations.  Area builders, building inspectors and pest control vendors from Santa Rosa County and North Okaloosa County are invited to participate in a discussioin related to product use for the control of termites, building practices that may contribute to infestation, contractual issues related to homeowner protection, and actions being considered by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.  The goal of this workshop is to share information and develop workable solutions that will improve the protection of structures in these areas.

Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will be providing two (2) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to Certified Pesticide Applicators for attending this meeting.  The CEU program title is:  Protecting Structures from Termites for Building Inspection/Code Enforcement.
