Gulf Islands National Seashore Presents Free Outdoor Concert

On Saturday, October 13th, Gulf Islands National Seashore will present a free concert – Sound Side Serenade- from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Naval Live Oaks picnic area. This year's event will feature a performance by the Santa Rosa Strings Student Orchestra and WFHEMA Chamber Orchestra. ''Autumn is the perfect time of year to enjoy the outdoors at Gulf Islands National Seashore and this event gives friends and families a chance to gather and enjoy music in a beautiful setting'' remarked Superintendent Dan Brown. This event will take place on the lawn and under the trees along the shore of Santa Rosa Sound. Visitors are invited to bring a blanket or a lawn chair to sit on and may bring their own picnic lunch and/or beverages. The program is free and open to the public. The Naval Live Oaks picnic area is located south of U.S. Highway 98 next to the Naval Live Oaks Visitor Center. Superintendent Brown encourages everyone to visit the Seashore to join us for our Sound Side Serenade.
