Gulf Islands National Seashore Candlelight Program at Fort Pickens

Gulf Islands National Seashore will present a Candlelight Program at Fort Pickens on Friday, July 17 at 7:00pm.  Join Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) staff and volunteers for a very special nighttime program at Fort Pickens.  Interpreters in living history attire will lead you on a unique experience to witness what life may have been like roaming the fort as a Civil War soldier.
 
Visitor should arrive no later than 8:30 pm in order to experience the fort prior to closing at 9:00 pm.  Dress appropriately for the evening weather and wear comfortable walking shoes; program involves walking on uneven surfaces, sandy walkways, and steps. The fort will be candlelit but we recommend bringing a flashlight.  For additional information, please call 850-934-2600.
