The FSBDC at UWF Govt. Contracting Services, is offering a workshop entitled “Davis Bacon Act and AARA Compliance Principles” on Wednesday, May 11^th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  This presentation will familiarize contractors, subcontractors, laborers and mechanics working as contracting agencies (as well as other interested parties) about the requirements of the Davis Bacon Act and projects funded by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (AARA).  This presentation summarizes key issues and pitfalls working under these acts as understood by the Department of Labor, as well as other government agencies purchasing work on federal works projects.  Location: FSBDC at UWF, 9999 University Pkwy.  There is no fee for this workshop, but please pre-register.  To register, call us at 850-474-2528 or register online at www.sbdc.uwf.edu.   Visit the PTAC website at www.fptac.org for more information about government contracting.
