Description
The Sacred Heart Senior Spirit program is hosting its 17th Annual Heath and Wellness Day at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. The community event provides free health screenings and wellness education to seniors age 55 or older.
The 2016 Health and Wellness Day will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Greenhut Auditorium at Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola.
Free health screenings offered to seniors during the event will include blood sugar and total cholesterol – both require fasting for at least eight hours before the test – as well as blood pressure, body fat analysis, stroke-risk assessments, diabetic retinopathy, osteoporosis and hearing. Health and wellness information from Sacred Heart and local businesses will be available, and participants will be eligible for door prizes.
