Fort Pickens Plans Living History Event

Description

Gulf Islands National Seashore, in partnership with the Walton Guard, will present a living history event from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, May 29, at Fort Pickets in celebration of Memorial Day.  Rangers and volunteers will present special programs about soldiers stationed at the fort during the Civil War as well as commemorative programs for Memorial Day.  All programs are free and open to the public.  The National Moment of Remembrance will be observed at 3 PM at the Fort Pickens flagpole.  For more information, please visit www.nps.gov/GulfIslands.
