'Bridge the Gap' benefit

Close to 30 Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach vendors will set up shop at booths along Garden Street in downtown Pensacola for the "Bridge the Gap" market-style event. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The brainchild of DC Reeves, chief entrepreneurial officer for the Studer Community Institute and owner of Perfect Plain Brewing Co., the closed-street benefit is designed to drum up revenue for businesses that have seen their clientele slashed by the Hurricane Sally-forced shutdown of the Pensacola Bay Bridge.
