2nd Annual Pensacola Beach Turkey Trot

The 2nd Annual Pensacola Beach Turkey Trot on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. Proceeds of the run will benefit WEAR-TV's Communities Caring at Christmas, and participants are asked to bring an unused toy for the Toys for Tots toy drive. Runners and walkers alike are welcome to join in the 5K fun run along Pensacola Beach's famous white sands. The race's start and finish takes place at the Casino Beach parking lot, and runners may register online at www.PensacolaBeachTurkeyTrot.com. Registration is $30 from Nov. 1 until Nov. 15; $35 from Nov. 16 until Nov. 21; and $40 the day of the race. After the run, enjoy a post race party at the Gulfside Pavilion on Pensacola Beach with a runner's breakfast plus medals and awards for top male and female runners, winners of age divisions as well as door prizes. Participants will also receive a commemorative T-shirt, and enjoy great music and a special appearance by Santa Claus.
